i take the kids out to explore the area. we set off on foot with a picnic and i let the kids choose whether we go left right or straight on. we go down roads we have never gone down before and hopefully on our travels we find a park we can eat our picnic in or some play equipment and if there isn’t we play i spy or guess what door number is coming next and we look to see what wildlife we can find. my kids love this, you just need lots of energy and a map just in case you don’t know the area too well.
